Grants for Senior Scientist/Junior Researcher Groups/

The purpose of the Grant Program is to promote cooperation between research institutes, universities, as well as laboratories of scientific and engineering profiles in Kazakhstan and productive  sector enterprises for improving the production sectors in the economy.

Required results at the time of completion:

  • Consortium members

    Increase the number of consortium members (by at least 3)

  • International accreditation

    Receive international industry accreditation in the field corresponding to the scope of activities of the CBD members and become the centre of excellence, scientific, laboratory research, RSSTA, and/or R&D which is recognized by the international scientific and industrial community

  • Sustainable cooperation

    Ensure sustainable, organized cooperation between the center and the enterprises that will continue to fund the center after the grant ends by entering into long-term contract research or technology sales and/or licensing agreements, or other forms of commercialization that contribute to the center's financial stability and independence for the next 5 years

  • PCT patent applications

    Submitting of at least two (2) PCT patent applications and at least one (1) filing of an application for international joint inventions

PRODUCTIVE SECTOR CONSORTIA I: COMPETENCE CENTERS
The maximum grant amount is 650,000,000 tenge  with implementation period until November 2022.

Required results at the time of completion:

  • Commercialization

    Commercialization should be at least 20% of the amount of the grant received, through sales of finished products or/and conclusion of a licensing agreement and/ or agreement of assignment of rights to results of scientific and/ or scientific-technical activity or/and attracting investments to the projector/and other ways as stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan

  • Automation strategy/digitalization for PSC II type A.

    Implementation of the automation strategy/digitalization of the enterprise for PSC II type A

  • Automation strategy/digitalization for PCS II type B.

    Development of the automation strategy/digitalization of the enterprise for PCS II type B

  • Conducting training

    Conducting training of at least 5 specialists, including the leader of the enterprise, on the basics of Industry 4.0

PRODUCTIVE SECTOR CONSORTIA II
The maximum grant amount is 650,000,000 tenge with implementation period until November 2022 (for PSC II Type A grants).

 

The maximum grant amount is 250,000,000 tenge with implementation period until November 2022 (for PSC II Type B grants).

    Implementation/preparation for the implementation of the automation strategy/digitalization of the enterprise.

GRANTS FOR SENIOR SCIENTISTS / JUNIOR RESEARCHER GROUPS:
The maximum grant amount will be 100 000 000 tenge with implementation period until November 2022.
